Under the implementation period, Site Survey Team will perform the Technical Site Survey (TSS) after the site pre-validation. The purpose of the TSS is to define and agree on how to do OSP work. The goal is to reach the final consensus among the participants on this site design scheme. When consensus is reached in the TSS, extra visits to the site are unnecessary and the site construction process is shorter.
In order to have a successful TSS adequate preparation is essential such as existing drawings of the route and sub route should be available in the TSS so that the representatives of Layout team can properly evaluate the structural limitations.
The outcomes of the TSS are:
- Handmade sketch signed by all the participants.
- The Layout team and SA engineer prepare the site sketch. This route sketch is prepared to accommodate also possible future extensions of the design.
- Route survey report showing the engineering design of the network
- Route survey report, which contains related information about the route (check list of issues affecting the civil works on the route).
- The Layout team prepares the Detail Design request document sends it to the Technical integration team.
